We read every deck that reaches us. The ones that lead to a second meeting share a simple quality: they tell one clear story, and every slide moves it forward. Here is the structure we find easiest to say yes to.
Ten slides, one story
- Problem. Who has it, how painful is it, and how do they solve it today?
- Insight. What do you understand that others have missed?
- Product. Show it. A screenshot or a short video beats a paragraph.
- Why now. What changed in technology, regulation or behaviour?
- Market. A bottom-up estimate we can check, not a top-down headline.
- Traction. Users, pilots, letters of intent — whatever proves pull.
- Business model. How you make money and what a customer is worth.
- Competition. Be honest. Every great market has competitors.
- Team. Why you are the people to build this.
- The ask. How much you are raising and the milestones it buys.
What to leave out
Skip the five-year financial model, the long list of advisors and the slide of logos you hope to sell to one day. At pre-seed we want to understand how you think, not how well you can forecast.
A great deck is not a sales document. It is the clearest possible explanation of why this company should exist.
How to send it
Send a PDF or a link through our pitch form with a short note on what you are building and why now. A partner reviews every submission and replies within two weeks.
