Today we are announcing our lead investment in Aurelia AI’s $6 million seed round. Aurelia builds an inference engine that runs large language models directly on phones, laptops and industrial devices, without sending data to the cloud.
Why we invested
Every company we meet wants to put AI into its product. Most of them hit the same three walls: latency, cost and privacy. Aurelia removes all three at once by compressing and compiling models for the hardware people already own.
- A real technical edge. Their compiler runs models up to four times faster than standard runtimes on the same device.
- Pull from customers. Three design partners signed paid pilots before the round opened.
- A global market from day one. Device makers and software companies everywhere face the same problem.

What’s next
